When Cheryl's dancing friend Derek whisked her off to Tanzania for a much needed break he got lots of praise from the media and Cheryl's friends. It now appears that the trip has seriously damaged Cheryl's health because she has caught Malaria. So when Simon was implying that Cheryl was hungover the other day the truth is that she was displaying early syptoms o the disease. She is now stuck in hospital and she could be there for at least a week.
While Cheryl is seriously ill in hospital Ash is getting it in the neck for enjoying himself on holiday. What is he meant to do rush back to Britain so that Cheryl can humiliate him by telling him he's not wanted or is he meant to walk around LA looking miserable. Whatever he does the papers will have ago at him so e may as well just enjoy himself.
